Raya grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, where planning and bringing projects to life came naturally.


She holds a degree in Economics and International Relations from Boston University and later pursued a Master’s in Strategy and International Business Engineering at ESSEC Business School in Paris.

Becoming a mother inspired her to pass on to her children a love for healthy, authentic products — the true taste of the land and shared family meals. With this vision, she took over and expanded her family’s ancestral lands in Utique, in northern Tunisia, transforming them into certified organic farmland that combines modern technology with time-honored, traditional practices.

As the fourth generation in a family of olive oil producers, Raya was recently certified as an olive oil sommelier by the New York International Culinary Center and the Olive Oil Times Education Lab.
Now a full-fledged agricultural producer, she has harnessed the rich terroir of Utique to revive a 30-hectare olive grove and launch OLEASTRA, a premium extra virgin olive oil brand that has earned multiple international awards.
